It is DWR-treated to withstand water but note that it is not a rain jacket that can withstand persistent rain for a long time. The jacket has a fixed hood with double fabric and an edge with a drawstring. There are two sturdy hand pockets on the front. The zipper is protected by a windbreak with push buttons.
