A day at the beach is always something to look forward to – warm sun and refreshing dips in the water. But packing the right things is key to making the most of your beach day. Here are our top tips:
SWIMWEAR
The first – and most important – item is your swimwear. Choose something comfortable. If you're swimming a lot, bring a spare set in case the first gets wet and uncomfortable.
TOWEL OR PONCHO
A large, soft towel is essential. A bath poncho can be handy, especially for kids – it dries and doubles as a quick-change cover-up.
WATER SHOES OR FLIP-FLOPS
Hot sand or rocky areas can be tough on your feet. Water shoes are perfect for snorkeling or walking on rocks.
UV SHIRTS AND WETSUITS
UV shirts protect from harmful rays – a must for kids. A wetsuit is ideal for cold water, surfing, or diving.
For babies, consider a pop-up UV tent to keep them shaded.
WATER TOYS
Bring buckets, shovels, floaties, or a ball for games. Fun for kids and adults alike!
CAP OR HAT
Shield your face and head with a breathable, secure-fitting hat or cap.
Don’t forget sunglasses with proper UV protection.
SUNSCREEN
Absolutely essential! Choose one with high SPF and water resistance, and reapply throughout the day.
FOOD & DRINKS
Pack plenty of water and light snacks. A cooler bag helps keep everything fresh and cool.
BEACH BLANKET OR CHAIRS
Relax in comfort – bring a blanket that shakes off sand easily or foldable beach chairs.
FIRST AID KIT
Always good to have for minor injuries – include band-aids, antiseptic cream, and basic meds.
