In 1989, two young men, Reinert Sörensson and Mickael Nyman, opened a small summer shop on the pier in Tanumstrand, Grebbestad. They didn’t know then that it was the start of a great success story.
The small 14 sqm shop was just the beginning. Today, we have one of the largest sports stores in the Nordics – 14,000 sqm filled with products from top brands in sports and leisure. The store is located in Grebbestad and offers a full experience for the entire family!
Sportshopen Grebbestad provides more than shopping – enjoy the Farmor Ellen restaurant and mini-market, a large play area and mini-cinema for children, and much more. During summer, our activity field is buzzing with life, and in winter, you can go ice skating on our artificial rink.
Our ambition has always been to provide the best possible service to our customers. The growth of e-commerce and expansion of new stores have meant that we outgrew our warehouse in Grebbestad.
In spring 2023, we moved into our new warehouse and logistics center with adjoining offices – totaling 24,300 sqm – located in Sörred Logistics Park in Torslanda, Gothenburg. This allows us to shorten delivery times to our customers and stores, further improving the customer experience. A bold investment and an exciting milestone in our continued growth journey.
